One of the animus in my last rotation had a character who had a particularly good quote:

“If I don’t have to do it, I won’t. If I have to do it, I’ll make it quick.”

I liked this quote. It has fit most of my life. But I’d wager I could expand on it a little, and I came up with:

“If I don’t have to do it, I won’t. If I have to do it, I’ll make it quick. If I have to repeat it, I’ll make it efficient.”
