Slight Annoyances

7dayworkweek
where we're going, we don't need days off

So the first full week of EPS is down and it’s been quite the adventure. I’ve gotten a lot more of the business itself down and it has made surviving the day much easier, but there are times when I want to truly figure out how to invent a device to strangle people over TCP/IP. Sure I am sitting down, it’s just phone calls, blah blah blah, but going from a job that was physically exhausting to a job that is mentally exhausting suddenly takes some getting used to. My mind ends up turning into silly putty by the end of the night, and I always get stuck with a late install or call that I just want to run out the building like a screaming little girl.

But on the bright side, I probably picked up at least ~10 hours of overtime this week, so either my first or second paycheck should be pretty awesome. As soon as I square off some bills and put aside money for new tires, hopefully I can get a little Xmas shopping done before the last shopping week. Hopefully.

Not much else new to add really, I pretty much come home and go to bed, sometimes early, passed out last night around 10:30 only to wake up an hour later to one cat on my back and the other two next to my leg. I tried to read a little of that SQL book, but I knew I wasn’t going to get far before being tired caught up. Looking forward to sleeping in over the weekend even though I work at Panera both nights, but I can deal with that.

Last but not least, there is a sense of irony in Logitech making a UMD attachment for the PSP Go. This either highlights a brilliant money-making effort on both Logitech and Sony’s part, or Sony is clearly the dumbest kids on the block for thinking that people were going to up and go from UMD media to digital downloads. Guess this goes to show that in hindsight, when it comes to media formats, they’ve really only ever won one, Blu-Ray. Everything else, is history.
